Both classy and homely

Maritim’s glassy façade does little to impress from street level, but wait till you get inside!

The lobby is extra-plush with an adjoining piano bar.

The rooms feel somehow homely, perhaps because they’re blessed with that oft-forgotten décor masterstroke: Wallpaper.

If thoughts of your grandmother’s reading “salon” flood into your mind as they did mine, never fear. It’s all soft pastels and tastefully done.

Unfortunately double rooms (even the biggest ones) consist of two single beds pushed together.

The hotel seems tilted towards conference goers with a 550-seat hall and six function rooms. The top floor holds a swimming pool with a view, steam bath and sauna.

There’s also a small gym, conservatory with a patio, beer garden and two restaurants to choose from.
