Le Meridien Munich (München)

Top quality but reasonably priced

If you’re looking for top-quality lodgings at less than exorbitant prices, Le Meridien could be the way to go.

The rooms have a neutral colour scheme and look fantastic. All have big, plasma TVs and marble-decked bathrooms.

When I last visited two floors had just been newly renovated and the rooms still had that new carpety smell. Other floor renovations were to follow. Many rooms face onto the street but try to get one looking over the courtyard.

All rooms have full length windows that serve as mini-balconies. There are meeting rooms, a gym, pool, steam bath, sauna and massage service.

The restaurant dishes up mainly Mediterranean dishes. Oh, and the elevator plays jungle sounds when you step inside.
