Munich's Dance Workshop Europe attracts dancers from around the world


This event has worldwide dancers and choreographers rendezvousing in Munich for 10 days of workshops and performances.

The workshops are open to professionals as well as enthusiastic amateurs.
A key theme is building “bridges of understanding” between dance, visual art, acting and musical theatre.

Dance Workshop Europe (German: Tanzwerkstatt Europa) is organised by a group called Joint Adventures.

Areas of focus for 2010 are contemporary dance, “bodywork”, hip-hop and young people.

The 2010 event will run from Wednesday, August 4 to Saturday, August 14.

Workshops will be held at two venues:

-Tanztendenz München, Lindwurm Strasse 88. It’s just south of the Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest field).

-Bayerisches Staatsballett, Am Platzl 7. Just next to the Hofbräuhaus.





Most of the performances will be at the Muffat Halle at Zell Strasse 4. That's just across the Isar River past the Deutsches Museum.

-Cost Prices range between €150 and €440 for workshop courses. There are discounts for students and children’s courses available.
