Newbie doing well

A newcomer, the Courtyard Marriot has carved out a niche in Munich’s four-star market since opening in 2006.

They feature elegant maroon and mustard décor and big plasma TVs.

I got to see the Suite, which has a lovely king-sized bed and separate lounge area.

There are also 12 “Studio” rooms for luxury seeking guests. A cosy bar called the “Oléo Pazzo” – Crazy Olive specialises in cocktails.

There’s a bistro serving Mediterranean cuisine and a grand ballroom caters for conferences.

There’s also a small gym, business centre and 24-hour mini-market.
