Cheap Munich hotels

CHEAP MUNICH HOTELS: This section of the market has stepped up in recent years as some upper-end hotels have downgraded themselves to cater for tighter budgets.

Thanks, global financial catastrophe! Big international chains like Holiday Inn, Ibis, Mercure and the Hilton are all represented with at least two branches in different parts of the city.

Other independent hotels tend to have a more personal touch. Upper-end lodgings have a restaurant/bar a few nice extras like mini-shops and work-out rooms. Bottom-end hotels can feel sparse and might just have a bare-bones breakfast room or nothing at all.
Expect to pay at least €60 a night at the very cheapest hotels and up to €400 for those at the top-end.
